Meet Amanda

Owner of Sage and Bloom Yoga

About Amanda I’m Amanda Kocurek, the founder and guiding force behind Sage & Bloom Yoga—a sanctuary for holistic empowerment, mindful movement, and inner transformation. As a 500-hour trained yoga teacher, I bring depth, experience, and intention to every class I lead. I believe healing begins from within. Our lived experiences—especially past challenges and emotional wounds—can be held in the body. Through intentional movement, conscious breath, and present-moment awareness, we can release what no longer serves us and create space for strength, vitality, and peace. My classes blend physical alignment with energetic awareness, inviting students to reconnect with their bodies, trust their inner wisdom, and cultivate resilience both on and off the mat. My teaching style is nurturing yet empowering—meeting you where you are while gently guiding you toward growth, confidence, and self-discovery. Sage & Bloom Yoga is more than a studio to me—it’s a community. A place to root down, rise up, and bloom fully into your most aligned self.

Answer Of Some Yoga Questions

How do you start yoga practice?

Begin with simple poses and gradually increase intensity as your body adjusts. It’s important to listen to your body and progress at your own pace.

What equipment do I need for yoga?

A yoga mat is essential, and props like blocks and straps can help enhance your practice. Comfortable clothing is also important to allow for full movement.

When can I practice yoga after eating?

It's best to wait at least 1-2 hours after eating before practicing yoga. This helps prevent discomfort during your poses.

What if I feel stuck with my practice?

Feeling stuck is natural. Consider exploring different types of classes, consulting with a yoga instructor, or incorporating mindfulness practices to deepen your experience.

What's the difference between yoga and meditation?

Yoga focuses on physical postures and breath control to enhance overall well-being, while meditation is primarily a mental practice that fosters mindfulness, relaxation, and clarity.

What are the benefits of a regular yoga practice?

A consistent yoga practice improves flexibility, strengthens the body, reduces stress, enhances mental clarity, and promotes overall well-being, both physically and emotionally.
